Exact-route selection
Select the API route explicitly and inspect its current tier. Review upstream versions and pool membership separately: the route ID is stable, not a guarantee of frozen model weights.

Tier 2 planned for Q1 2027
Plan your workload on NI-owned Canadian hardware, without a US cloud provider.
Identify the provider boundary, the policy attached to the selected route, and what may change over time. Keep model-version validation and concentration-risk assessment alongside the route approval.
Select the API route explicitly and inspect its current tier. Review upstream versions and pool membership separately: the route ID is stable, not a guarantee of frozen model weights.
Live Tier 3 routes select Canadian provider regions. NI records its selected path; provider documentation and contracts govern execution inside the provider.
Inspect the recorded route, provider and jurisdiction for a request. Attach NI's path evidence to your assessment alongside provider terms and your own validation.
Detected identifiers in supported English text messages can be substituted before dispatch. Review detection limits and retained substitution audit records; this control is not guaranteed anonymization.
Set content-debug controls and review retained operational metadata before using sensitive information. PII substitution has its own audit data, and provider retention rules also apply.
Review sourced training and retention information for the selected route. Assess each separately: no training and zero retention are different properties. Tier 4 includes US and global boundaries.
Review current models and routes. Custody evidence describes NI's recorded path; provider evidence governs operations inside the provider.
Evaluate live capabilities today. Planned capabilities describe the roadmap and require a separate availability discussion.

For federally regulated financial institutions, B-10 addresses third-party risk and retained accountability; B-13 addresses technology and cyber risk. NI provider and custody information can support due diligence. Your institution determines whether the arrangement meets its obligations.
Review PIPEDA accountability where applicable and Quebec outside-Quebec assessment requirements. Canadian routing can include provinces outside Quebec. Requirements differ by institution and jurisdiction.
CIRO books-and-records guidance describes dealer audit-trail obligations. NI custody metadata supplements your evidence. Maintain the communications archives, retention controls and model-validation records your use requires.
Your legal and risk teams determine the applicable requirements and approve the proposed use.
Evaluate these workflows under your institution's model validation, access and human-review requirements. Your organization retains the systems of record and the authority to make investment, credit or compliance decisions.
Query approved policies and prepare source-linked summaries. Validate answers and keep the underlying documents available to reviewers.
Draft KYC, AML or credit-memo narratives from permitted inputs. Authorized staff verify the evidence and make the final judgment.
Review code and technical documents under your organization's access and change controls.
